RUSSIA – Two shipments of Australian beef have been held in laboratory testing after samples tested positive of the growth steroid trenbolone.

Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, Rosselkhoznadzor, said the substance - 17b-trenbolone – was a violation of Russian import law.

The batches came from John Dee Warwick and the Northern Cooperative Meat Co Ltd.
