UK – Producers are looking forward to growing a new high sugar grass mix this year following the Germinal Seeds announcement of a new tetraploid variety.
Both suitable for cutting and grazing, the Aber HSG 6 tetraploid variety comes high on the NIAB/TAG recommended list and is made from high sugar perennial ryegrasses.
The mix has been selected for heading dates for the first week of June, providing high yield for first cut and rotational grazing.
Standard mixes contain the AberDairy White Clover blend as a standard ingredient with a chicory option.
